Bar Savoy

Bar Savoy

In the 70’s, Savoy hotel’s traditional bar used to be a meeting point for young musicians. A group of cartoonists, musicians and friends, among which were Claudio Cardone, Iván Tarabelli, “Pájaro” Gómez, Carlos Belloso Colombres, Rubén Goldín, Maxi Ades and Axel Giudice, used to meet at this place. Other artists also dropped into Savoy Bar: cartoonists Manuel Aranda and Jorge Santa María, and editor Horacio Vargas, who created the famous magazine “Risario”. Some of the projects discussed here were later able to come to light thanks to the help of local producers, such as Ricardo Alongi.
