This emblematic building was created by Architect Raul Rivera and constructed by the Candia and Isella Construction Company.
The building work started in 1926 and was completed three years later, characterized by its French academicist style.
Its outstanding characteristics include a cylindrical volume corner, with a door framed by Corinthian columns, providing a distinctive element to the architectural style.
It has an imposing oval dome of reinforced concrete, composed of a drum with columns that support it, and a lantern at the top through which light enters and illuminates the dome. On each side of the drum, there Is a sculptural group represented by the gods Mercury and Ceres. In the center, there is a cartouche with the initials of the building.
