The English style of construction was present in Echesortu with neighbors of that nationality who left their mark. Mr. John Wright, one of the directors of the English Railway, built several houses on Mr. Arrillaga's land, for the families of the railway workers.
These buildings with hipped roofs, characteristic of the English style, were occupied by different families, among which stands out that of the great poetess Alfonsina Storni who spent her summers there during her childhood.
Two of the mansions are still standing and are occupied by the Kindergarten No.38 and the Atlantic Sportsmen Club, two of the landmark institutions in the neighborhood.
