The building housed the Oblate Sisters of the Most Holy Redeemer Refuge since 1945. Over the years, the Refuge grew and started receiving girls and female teenagers sent by the Juvenile Court, thus expanding its social mission.
From 1981 onwards, this building became the Jesus de Nazaret School with Initial, Primary, and Secondary levels.
Its austere architectural style not only served functional criteria; it also sought to convey a positive effect on the residents' perception and behavior, creating spaces with a sense of order, tranquility, and dignity.
