During the first half of the 20th century, the Oroño Model Market became a reference for the commercialization of a wide variety of food products. It operated between 1887 and 1976, in the block delimited by the Boulevard and Alvear St., Jujuy St., and Brown St.
The original building is still preserved, with some changes in its facade, characterized by its simple and elegant style. On the first floor, there are two triangular ornaments on both sides of the main entrance. The balconies are decorated with small columns known as balusters.
On the ground floor, there are commercial premises, and a garage with the original metal structure.
