The former Banco Frances building, located on the northeast corner of San Lorenzo and Sarmiento Streets, was built by the Maspoli y Cia company and inaugurated in 1908.
It was designed by Architect Emilio Hugue. It originally served as headquarters of the Banco Frances del Río de la Plata bank.
One of the most notable features of this building is its imposing dome with a circular base covered with French slate, and a lightning rod that crowns the corner, adding distinction to this emblematic building in Rosario.
