The Sala Lavarden was a springboard for the start of Fito's career.
There, on May 7th, 1981, Baglietto premiered two songs by Fito: "Puñal Tras Puñal" and "La Vida Es Una Moneda."
Thereafter, Baglietto was invited to participate in major events in Buenos Aires and impressed that large audience. Fito began a round trip between Rosario and Buenos Aires. He lived in various places and participated in different bands until he was able to establish himself in Buenos Aires thanks to Lalo de los Santos, another born and bred musician from Rosario, with a great heart, who hosted him in many ways.
Meanwhile, the album "Tiempos Dificiles" by Juan Baglietto and his band was recorded. Fito, who was barely 18, composed many of the arrangements.
Fito returned to Sala Lavarden in 1994 when he decided to refurbish it for the recording of Circo Beat. It was a major work as seats were raised, new curtains were installed, and lights and sound system were purchased.
