Staying only one day in Rosario? That's enough to explore the basics of the city.

1. Historic Downtown and National Flag Memorial
Firstly, we recommend visiting the historic downtown, which features buildings of architectural relevance surrounding the 25 de Mayo Square: Basilica Nuestra Señora del Rosario, the Municipal Palace and the Post Office. Afterwards, visit the National Flag Memorial and, from there, walk along the downtown coast until you reach the colored silos that host the Museum of Contemporary Art of Rosario (Macro). 

2. Downtown Coast
A walk along the 20 blocks of the downtown coast will take you through green areas and emblematic places, such as Sargento Cabral downhill, where you can see the Customs building and the Utopia Fountain, the Arturo Illia tunnel, España Park, The Island of Inventions, craft fairs on weekends, bars, and restaurants.

3. Oroño Boulevard and Independence Park
After regaining energies, you can take  Oroño Boulevard to observe the architecture of the elegant residencies located at the sides, while passing by small squares with palm trees, and old benches and street lamps. From its intersection with the river, you must walk 20 more blocks along Oroño street to reach the traditional Independence Park, a huge green area located at the heart of Rosario. You can spend the rest of the afternoon there riding pedal boats on a small lake or visiting highlights, such as the Children's Garden, the Juan B. Castagnino Fine Arts Museum, the Museum of History and the Museum of the City.
