The Southwestern Municipal District Center is located in a 6,900 m2 (8,280 square yards) building that stands on a land lot of 15,000 m2 (18,000 square yards). What is particularly worth noting about this Center is that the preliminary project was developed by none other than César Pelli, the acclaimed Argentine architect who designed Kuala Lumpur’s Petronas Towers (Malaysia), New York’s Museum Tower, the 777 Tower in Los Ángeles and the Bank of Boston Tower in Buenos Aires. This was Pelli’s first work in the interior of the country, as well as the first public building he designed in Argentina.
